Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for:

• negotiate freight rates with outside carriers
• plan carriers on best routes to maximize on time delivery and gross profit
• tracking and tracing planned pick ups at shipping locations
• tracking and tracing carriers in transit and planned for daily delivery
• request delivery appointments with receivers
• advise carrier contact of delivery information (Deliver # and confirmed date/time)
• adjust delivery appointments based on ETA of carriers on route, when required
• update internal and external operating systems, Windows based (user friendly)
• update customers of daily tracing results
• highlight any potential service failures and make alternate plan
• print and send confirmations as required to carrier contacts
• answer queries on location and ETA as requested by receiver/customer

This is a full-time on-site position.

• 3+ Years of Transportation experience (required)
• 5+ Years Logistics experience (preferred)
• Secondary School (preferred)
