Letter Carrier - Delivery Agent

Canada Post is an exciting place to work, delivering billions of items to Canadians each year. As a temporary, on‑call delivery agent (letter carrier), you will be the face of Canada Post in your community, ensuring customers and businesses receive their mail and parcels on time.

Typical duties include:

• Start the day in the depot, sorting and preparing daily deliveries
• Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle
• Spend most of the day delivering mail and packages by foot or vehicle to customers on your route
• Return to the depot to unload incoming mail and packages for later delivery

• A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least three years (driver’s abstract required)
• Physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
• Ability to work in all types of weather
• Availability to be on‑call
• Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French

Additional skills that are a plus:

• Experience in customer service
• Experience making deliveries or working as a driver

• Pay: $23.81 per hour
• Extensive classroom and on‑the‑job training on duties and safety
