Transportion Dispatcher

Our client, a leading transportation and logistics organization servicing the East Coast, is seeking a Transportion Dispatcher to join their team. As a Transportion Dispatcher, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the transportation team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

• Coordinate daily driver schedules, pickups, deliveries, and container movements.
• Communicate with drivers regarding assignments, schedules, delays, and operational changes.
• Monitor the status of shipments and proactively address delays or service issues.
• Coordinate with customers and internal departments to ensure service requirements are met.
• Enter and maintain accurate information in the transportation management system.

• Previous dispatch or transportation experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with computers and transportation management systems is an asset.
