Dock Worker

We are looking for a dependable and skilled Dock Worker to join our team in the Dartmouth, NS area for a full-time, night-shift position. This role is perfect for an experienced logistics professional who thrives in an active, independent environment. You will be responsible for streamlining the flow of goods across the dock, ensuring freight is loaded, unloaded, and moved safely and efficiently.

Monday to Friday 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.

Must have an external sit-down counterbalance forklift with at least 1yr experience.

Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (keep your weekends!).

Competitive Pay: $20.00/hr.

Long-Term Potential:
Minimum 3-month contract with a strong possibility of extension based on performance.

Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to load, unload, and move freight across a busy cross-dock.

Sort, stage, and manifest inbound and outbound shipments.

Inspect incoming freight for damage and report discrepancies to management.

Perform pre-shift equipment checks and strictly adhere to all warehouse safety protocols.

Assist with keeping the dock area clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Qualifications
Certification:
Must hold a valid, current Forklift Certification with practical experience.

Shift Availability:
Fully committed to a consistent overnight schedule (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM).

Work Readiness:
Reliability, punctuality, and strong organizational skills are a must.
