Learning Support Assistant

Bright Star Talent are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and thriving secondary school in Darwen, rated Good by Ofsted.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive difference to their school experience. With over 1,200 students, the school has a busy but supportive atmosphere and a strong team of staff who are committed to helping every student reach their potential.

What you'll be doing:

* Supporting students in the classroom and helping them stay engaged with their learning.

* Providing additional support to students who may need a little extra help.

* Working alongside teachers and support staff to help students make progress.

* Building positive, trusting relationships with students.

* Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour.

* Helping create a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.

* Supporting students both academically and personally throughout the school day.

We're looking for someone who:

* Has experience working with children or young people.

* Is approachable, patient and confident.

* Has a genuine passion for helping students succeed.

* Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

* Is reliable and comfortable working in a busy secondary school.

* Can use their initiative while also working effectively as part of a team.

* Has a DBS registered on the Update Service.
