Job Title:
Project Engineer Controls and Instrumentation
Location:
Blackburn
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (OTE £62,000+)
Responsibilities- Lead and deliver engineering projects from concept through to completion within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Coordinate internal teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Carry out site inspections to monitor project progress, quality and safety.
- Support procurement activities through equipment specification reviews and supplier coordination.
- Produce technical documentation, reports and project updates.
- Perform risk assessments, establish safe systems of work and ensure engineering compliance.
- Ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and engineering standards.
- Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Controls Engineer or Improvement Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment. - Strong knowledge of PLC control systems, HMI, SCADA and instrumentation.
- Proven experience delivering engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple departments and contractors.
- Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, engineering standards and contractor management.
- Experience planning, managing and delivering engineering projects to agreed timescales and budgets.
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Controls or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
