Project Engineer Controls and Instrumentation

Location: Blackburn

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (OTE £62,000+)

• Deliver engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Plan, manage and deliver engineering projects to agreed timescales and budgets.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Produce technical documentation, reports and project updates.
• Carry out site inspections to monitor project progress, quality and safety.
• Support procurement activities through equipment specification reviews and supplier coordination.
• Coordinate multiple departments and contractors, ensuring stakeholder alignment.

• Experience working as a Project Engineer, Controls Engineer or Improvement Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLC control systems, HMI, SCADA and instrumentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, engineering standards and contractor management.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, safe systems of work and engineering compliance.
• Degree qualified in Electrical, Controls or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
