Join the RAC as a Super Flex Roadside Mechanic. Flexibility deserves recognition – and we deliver.

• Competitive salary: £50,669 basic, with the opportunity to earn up to £57,000.
• Weekly variety: work an average of 40 hours per week, roster released seven days in advance with core hours confirmed three days prior.
• Shift flexibility: 06:00–02:00, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Local coverage: part of the Blackburn cluster covering Blackburn, Accrington, Burnley, Darwen, Bacup, Rawtenstall, Nelson, Colne and Clitheroe. Work locally to start and finish at home, focusing on getting members back on the road.
• Equipment: supplied with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit.
• Choice of electric vehicle options after 12 months to save on tax.

You know how to read a situation. Our Roadside Mechanics are trusted to make the call; finding the right fix, supporting each member, and keeping everyone moving. Every call‑out is a chance to showcase the RAC difference.

• Mandatory: A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• Customer‑focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to work at relatively short notice and be open to travel with overnight stays, if necessary.

• Strong base pay: £50,669 a year, with bonuses and overtime taking you up to £57,000.
