Job Description & How to Apply Below
Create meaningful moments. Grow your practice. Support children to thrive with Guardian.

We believe great early learning starts with getting to know each child – their interests, their strengths, their personality and what helps them feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a space where children feel encouraged and inspired to discover the world around them. You’ll work closely with your room team to create meaningful experiences shaped by each child, while building warm and responsive relationships to support children’s learning and growth.

Whether you’re beginning your early childhood career or ready for your next opportunity, you’ll be supported to build your skills and confidence through practical learning, mentoring, professional development and clear career pathways.

Because when you feel valued and supported, you can bring even more care, energy and purpose to the children and families you work with.

Why join Guardian?
  • Career pathways across Guardian’s national network
  • Exclusive Thrive framework and To BE Me learning program, empowering both teams and children each day
  • Practical learning, mentoring and professional development
  • Support from your Lead Educator or Teacher, Educational Leader and leadership team
  • High-quality resources and thoughtfully designed learning environments
  • Opportunities to progress into Lead Educator and specialist leadership roles
  • Competitive remuneration, generous childcare discounts, access to multiple wellbeing programs, recognition and rewards, and employee referral opportunities
  • Guardian Degree support and the applicable government-funded wage increase
The Opportunity
  • Create meaningful learning experiences shaped by children’s strengths, interests and needs
  • Build warm, responsive relationships with children and families
  • Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing
  • Contribute to planning, observations and learning documentation
  • Bring Thrive and To Be Me to life in your everyday practice
  • Work collaboratively as part of a positive and supportive team
  • Create a secure environment where children feel safe, confident and curious

Educators work closely with their Lead Educator or Teacher and room team to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience for children and families, with pathways to progress into Lead Educator, Lead Teacher and specialist leadership roles.

About You

You’re a caring and enthusiastic early childhood professional who brings:

  • A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, an approved equivalent, or a commitment to working towards a recognised qualification
  • A genuine passion for children’s learning, development and wellbeing
  • A positive, reliable and collaborative approach
  • A willingness to learn, contribute ideas and grow your practice
  • Confidence building meaningful relationships with children, families and your team
  • A current Working with Children Check, child protection training and relevant first aid qualifications, or willingness to obtain them

The role also requires team members completing a traineeship or qualification to remain actively engaged with their study, training and workplace requirements.

If you’re ready to create meaningful moments, grow your practice and make a difference for children, we’d love to hear from you.

Bring your energy. Bring your ideas. Bring your care.
