Probation Services and Restorative Justice, within Correctional Services, prepares officers to write court ordered reports and complete risk assessments. You will supervise individuals under probation, conditional sentences, community service orders, and various youth orders. The work includes interviews, case management, program delivery, restorative justice, alternatives to court, and reintegration assistance. Knowledge of Indigenous culture and history supports culturally sensitive service.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare court reports and complete risk assessments
- Supervise adults and youth under community orders
- Conduct interviews and oversee case management
- Deliver programs and provide encouragement
- Support restorative justice and custody reintegration
- Post-secondary social sciences education or equivalent qualifications
- Experience with youth or adult case management
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and history
- Effective conflict resolution and communication skills
- Valid Class 5F licence and business vehicle access
