is currently seeking an Apprentice Diesel Technician
for our dealership in
Davenport, Florida
.Our ideal candidate iseager to learn to repair and maintain diesel trucks under the supervision of a Master Technician.

Sun State International Trucks is a locally owned dealership retailing International brand trucks with 5 locations throughout Florida. We sell both new and used trucks and trailers. We are an authorized dealer of IC Bus, Hyundai Translead trailers, and Globe trailers. We also provide parts and service for heavy-duty trucks of all brands.

Our Apprentice program is on-the-job training (paid) within a small-group setting in a separate area of our repair shop. Apprentices learn under the guidance of a Master Technician to complete repairs and perform diagnostics while building their skills. Upon graduation from the program, apprentices transition to their own bay on the shop floor with an assigned Mentor.

The Apprentice Program starts at $20.00 per hour; and as an employee of Sun State, you’ll be eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-term disability insurance and our 401K retirement plan with employer match.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Recent Graduation from Technical or Trade Program; preferred
• Mechanically inclined with an aptitude for learning
• Ability to Meet Physical Requirements
