Accounts Payable Coordinator

Description

We are currently partnered with a local manufacturing organization seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of transactional accounting, problem-solving, and team collaboration. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working within an ERP system, and willing to take initiative as they learn and grow. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with accounting leadership, gain exposure to broader accounting functions, and develop within an organization that values internal growth.

Responsibilities Include:

- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely

- Review and organize purchase orders and supporting documentation

- Assist with payment processing, including ACH and check payments

- Maintain accurate records within the company's ERP system

- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and accounting issues

- Support account reconciliations and general accounting activities

- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment-related questions

- Provide professional phone and email support as part of a shared office environment

- Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed

Requirements

Qualifications Include:

- Experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting function

- ERP system experience preferred

- Working knowledge of ACH transactions and check processing

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

- Strong initiative and willingness to learn

- Comfortable interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams

- Positive attitude and team-oriented approach

- Ability to follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement
