As a Traveling Superintendent, you will supervise all phases of the construction project to help the company reach its strategic growth goals.
Responsibilities- Responsible for scheduling, coordinating and supervising on-site trade activities during all phases of the construction project.
- Ability to adhere to the project schedule.
- Effectively communicate with the project manager, architect, engineer and other project team members to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications and schedule.
- Responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety program requirements and ensuring corrective measures are implemented.
- Maintain positive client relationships.
- Attends and/or conducts project status and related meetings as required and/or requested by the project manager.
- Assists in estimating, review of subcontractor and material proposals, and development of the master schedule.
- Assists in review of shop drawings for key materials and finalization of as-builts, turnover and walkthroughs for equipment and material.
This full-time position requires a bachelor s degree in engineering or construction management OR an equivalent combination of technical training and experience. Requires a minimum of 5 years commercial construction experience as a superintendent. Computer experience, management and communication skills are essential. Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and the ability to supervise large groups is essential. Government and large project experience is preferred.
Diverse project experience is important. Travel is required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver s license.
