Job DescriptionProvide direct supervision of all field personnel and construction projects, handle field problem‑solving and project decision‑making activities, coordinate trades, professionals and laborers, and work closely with customers, engineers and local officials on permits.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expertise to field personnel and project managers, assist in project and personnel management (60%).
- Directly supervise all field personnel and construction projects, manage personnel matters such as staffing, salaries and performance reviews (55%).
- Assist in project management and conduct pre‑job reviews of construction projects (20%).
- Monitor expenses, coordinate material and labor costs, and ensure materials are ordered and delivered on schedule (10%).
- Develop safety policies, enforce company safety standards and continually improve construction procedures (10%).
- Perform other duties as assigned (5%).
Substantial exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, equipment movement, chemical solvents, electrical shock and temperature extremes. Seated work for extended periods.
Qualifications- Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science or related fields preferred.
- Experience: 4+ years of construction site leadership.
- Licenses/Certifications: HAZWOPER 40, Driver’s license. State‑issued UST installer license preferred and all required upon hire.
- Technical Abilities: Strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills; good math and record‑keeping; ability to recognize petroleum‑tank and underground storage tank components; coordinate and review work of others; basic computer skills (Pro Core, Outlook); project planning and management.
- Autonomy/Direction: Operate with little supervision, make high‑level personnel decisions.
- Physical/Mental Exertion: Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 100 lb occasionally and up to 50 lb frequently; perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping.
- Tools and Equipment: Manual construction work and equipment operation; computer proficiency.
