Hospitalist Physician

Location: Davenport, IA
Position Type: Locum Physician OB/GYN Hospitalist

We are seeking OB/GYN Hospitalist physicians for locum coverage.

This role offers both 24-hour and 12-hour call shifts, providing inpatient OB/GYN services with a balanced case mix.

• Hospital-based OB/GYN coverage, Trauma Level III

• Call schedule provided 1 2 months in advance

• 1 2 CNMs provide additional support

• Support staff includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, OR, and ER teams

• Patient census: deliveries per month, 2 5 nursery admissions daily

• Onsite Lab & Ultrasound available

• EMR:
  Cerner

• Credentialing timeframe: days (temps available)

• Travel expenses reimbursed (Flight, Hotel, Rental Car)

• Board Certified OB/GYN REQUIRED

• Active IA license or IMLC (LOQ at time of submission) REQUIRED

• Fetal Monitoring certification (AWOHNN) REQUIRED

• Must be available for weekday coverage (Mon Fri); weekend coverage is a plus

• Facility policy:
  No consecutive weekday 24-hour shifts (Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun allowed)

• Clean malpractice/background REQUIRED

• Two references (one from a supervisor or higher) REQUIRED

• Shift Options:

  • 24-hour in-house call (7a 7a) flat rate with sleep room provided

  • 12-hour in-house call (7a 7p / 7p 7a)

• Coverage Duties Include:

  • Triage & deliveries (average /month)

  • OB/GYN ER consults

  • Rounding on inpatients

  • Covering no doc patients ( 1/day)

  • Circumcisions (preferred, not required)
