PARA EDUCATOR - ACCOMPANIST - 6.5 HRS/DAY
Duties and responsibilities include accompanying vocal groups during rehearsals and performances, reading open score choral literature, playing, reading and learning new music fluently, and assisting with Choral Library maintenance.
Requirements include being comfortable reading open score choral literature, ability to play the piano for extended periods of time, and ability to work with high school students. Must be physically able to lift fifty pounds, walk extended distances, bend, squat and kneel.
The ideal candidate will have strong inter-personal skills, a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students, and be willing to support and implement Davenport’s multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
Working hours are 6.5 hours/day, with potential for flexible work hours beyond the regular school day. Good attendance and punctuality are a must.
