Description
PCT Ebeam and Integration in Davenport, IA is seeking two Field Service Technicians to provide support for testing, troubleshooting, repair and rebuilding of electron beams. This position applies knowledge of mechanical and electrical processes such as high voltage, high vacuum, PLC controls, printed circuit board operation, hydraulic and pneumatic assembly. Travels on short notice for repair, calibration and installation of customer equipment in both domestic and international locations.

Education/ExperienceTypically, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or equal accredited college; or an associate’s degree or equivalent experience from an ABET or equal accredited college and 2 years’ experience in a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years’ experience in a related field.
A minimum of 4 years’ troubleshooting experience on electronic and mechanical equipment in an industrial and/or military environment.
Ability to read, monitor and troubleshoot PLC programs – Siemens and Rockwell experience preferred. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, industrial and safety standards (NEC, IEC, NEMA, NFPA, ISA, ANSI, OSHA).
Ability to interpret drawings/prints and schematic diagrams and use these to troubleshoot and repair systems. Electron Beam or medical x‑ray maintenance experience is a plus.
Language AbilityStrong communication skills within the company and project teams, including the use of e‑mail and voicemail. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Math AbilityAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to use both standard and metric measurement systems.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Advanced knowledge of electrical/mechanical theory and practice.
TravelProject‑related travel to customer sites is required, including overseas travel. Ability to obtain current driver’s license and passport required.
