Assistant Vice President, Controller of Finance Base pay range

Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented finance leader to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role is responsible for managing the accounting and finance team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, and delivering timely financial insights to support informed, strategic decision-making across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CFO and cross-functional leaders on strategic finance and accounting initiatives.
  • Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the accounting and facilities teams.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and meet company goals while providing expertise on accounting matters.
  • Oversee general ledger and accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and related processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and closing of books.
  • Develop and maintain policies, practices, and standards for accounting and facilities.
  • Implement security protocols to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Maintain documentation of accounting and facilities policies and processes.
  • Oversee internal controls and compliance, including coordination of internal and external audits.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, technologies, and systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Align departmental decisions and project plans with organizational goals and vision.
  • Participate in long-term planning and provide functional reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities, including recruiting, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Act as a management representative to promote the organization's mission, values, and culture.
  • Other strategic and leadership duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 8‑10+ years of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Adaptability and a commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes in dynamic environments.
