- Execute both internal and external collection activities on delinquent accounts.
- Oversee the coordination of the Courtesy Pay program, including the collection of negative or past-due accounts, ensuring compliance with related procedures.
- Provide support in handling bankruptcy claims.
- Assist in the sale of repossessions.
- Complete and process insurance claim forms for members.
- Manage skip-a-payment requests.
- Follow up on collateral protection insurance.
- Maintain and update necessary reports.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Foster a positive work environment within the Member Solutions Department and encourage professional inter-departmental communication.
- Ensure a clean and professional work area and appearance.
- Maintain positive public relations and promote the credit union within the community.
- Promote credit union products and services.
- Process and send required paperwork to external collection agencies as needed.
- Undertake additional collection-related tasks as assigned.
- Participate in required educational programs.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in credit analysis.
- Typing skills and computer literacy.
- At least 1 year of experience in the field of collections.
- In-depth knowledge of collection laws and regulations.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- A team player.
