Phlebotomist PRN

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens for diagnostic testing that include blood, throat, nasopharyngeal and TB testing.
• Perform appropriate patient and specimen identification, maintain aseptic technique during specimen collection and use correct equipment.
• Perform clerical activities such as logging in specimens, quick registration, and ordering labs, as well as basic processing of specimens such as centrifuging and transferring as directed to support diagnostic testing.
• May serve inpatient and/or outpatient areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
