Electrical Technician – Ingot
Arconic is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our team in Davenport, IA. The role involves supporting production equipment, troubleshooting electrical issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe workplace and lead by example on EHS policies.
- Provide technical support on planned and unplanned equipment breakdowns, especially Direct Fire melt furnaces and other heavy manufacturing equipment.
- Support the Lead Operator process and up‑skill crafts persons through training and mentorship.
- Develop SOPs, WIP, and related procedures; train staff on new or updated processes.
- Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability improvements, and root‑cause analysis.
- Manage spare parts and support critical component replacements.
- Apply Arconic Business Systems concepts to integrate maintenance activities into daily operations.
- Work flexible hours; typical schedule M‑F 7 am‑4 pm with off‑shift support as needed.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Pass an electrical proficiency exam.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Electrical apprenticeship or 4 years on‑the‑job training.
- Experience with combustion systems, metal casting, and melting furnaces.
- Strong electrical drawing reading, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
- PLS programming, AC/DC motor, variable speed drive experience.
- Process control and instrumentation knowledge.
