Forklift Driver / Material Handler, 2nd Shift (Transportation)
A Forklift Driver/Material Handler is responsible for operating material-handling equipment (forklifts) to receive, store, and distribute materials, parts, and supplies, using wireless RF scanning equipment to direct the disposition of materials. This position is located in Davenport, IA.
Essential Functions- Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment (forklift) to move racks, containers, pallets, and crates
- Move, locate, relocate, load, unload, and stack material in the assigned area
- Perform routine daily equipment inspections and report issues
- Gather finished orders for movement to the outbound shipping area
- Ensure product is labelled and free of damages, overages, and shortages
- Accurately complete all related paperwork
- Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
- Observe and comply with all safety procedures and guidelines
- Ensure materials loaded for transport are properly stacked and secure
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- OSHA-endorsed forklift certification or ability to become certified
- Previous use of RF scanning equipment and Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Must be able to identify products through reading, interpreting, and scanning pallet information
- Ability to understand instructions in English
- Knowledge of safety practices
- Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment involving tire and wheel operations is strongly preferred
Employee must be able to talk or hear regularly, sit on a powered forklift, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms. May occasionally lift 25 pounds; anything greater requires assistance. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentBusy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic and seasonal temperatures. Steel‑toed shoes, safety glasses, vests are required PPE; additional PPE may be required based on site requirements.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkFull Time, Non-Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.
TravelNo travel is required between locations.
