Automation TechnicianWe’re seeking an Automation Technician to support production by ensuring automated equipment runs safely, efficiently, and reliably. This hands‑on role focuses on real‑time troubleshooting, PLC/HMI adjustments, and supporting both Controls Engineering and Maintenance teams to maximize uptime and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and adjust automated and PLC‑controlled equipment during production
- Perform minor PLC logic edits and parameter changes
- Diagnose faults and restore equipment using HMI interfaces
- Support electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic troubleshooting efforts
- Assist with equipment startups, changeovers, and commissioning updates
- Perform I/O checks, sensor verification, and minor wiring repairs
- Support integration of sensors, drives, vision systems, and safety devices
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime and scrap reduction
- Communicate equipment status and corrective actions with cross‑functional teams
- Follow all safety protocols, including LOTO and PPE
- High school diploma required; technical certification preferred
- 2+ years supporting automated equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of PLC/HMI systems (Allen‑Bradley or similar)
- Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic
- CMMS experience preferred
- Manufacturing/warehouse setting with industrial equipment exposure
- Local travel between facilities may be required
