Press Operator

Position Title: Press Operator

Wage: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm

QPS Employment Group has a great Press Operator position available at a company in Davenport, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

• Set up and operate press brake and other manufacturing machinery.
• Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints, drawings, job setup sheets, and process instructions.
• Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Perform independent machine setups and adjustments.
• Inspect parts throughout the production process to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Layout and inspect parts using a variety of inspection tools, including:
  Calipers, Height gauges, Angle gauges, Indicators, Functional gauges.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Prior experience operating and setting up press brake equipment (required).
• Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T specifications.
• Experience performing self‑inspection and quality checks.
• Proficient with precision measuring and inspection tools.
• Fork truck experience required (certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
