Shift: 12‑Hour Day Shift |

Hours:

7am‑7:30pm | Status: .9 (36 hours a week).

Purpose
:
Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally‑competent care for inpatient adolescent through aging adult cardiovascular patients. Key accountabilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidence‑based practice; adherence to the Professional Practice Standards as defined by ANA; and active participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities
:

• Assessment, diagnosis, and planning of cardiovascular patient care.
• Implementation and evaluation of treatment plans using critical thinking.
• Adherence to ANA Professional Practice Standards.
• Participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement.
• Scheduling, assigning, or coordinating work as needed.
• Providing guidance on human resources matters when required.

Qualifications
:

• Education:
  
  Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Baccalaureate preferred).
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure:
  Registered Nurse in Iowa;
  Registered Nurse in Illinois within 1 year.
• No experience required.
• Interpersonal skills for moderate difficulty and sensitivity.

Working Conditions
:
Exposure to adverse environmental conditions, potential blood‑borne pathogens, and safety equipment precautions; 70% or less of work day.
