Minimum 24 months of Pediatric experience and 15 months of Pediatric Emergency Room experience License:
Active Iowa license or compact / multistate license required

Certifications:

BLS
- Basic Life Support, PALS
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, TNCC Must-Have:

- Pediatric experience within the previous 24 months
- Pediatric Emergency Room experience within the previous 15 months - EPIC electronic medical systems experience within the previous 12 months
- Completion of at least 1 travel contract within the previous 18 months
- De-escalation certificate (nice to have)

Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in the Pediatric Emergency Room. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, providing care to pediatric patients with diverse medical needs. Nurses will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Candidates must have a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Strong communication skills are essential, as nurses will interact with patients, families, and medical staff regularly.

A thorough understanding of pediatric clinical practice, emergency protocols, and the ability to respond quickly to critical situations is required. This role requires working nights with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week. Candidates must be willing to work during holiday rotations and every fourth weekend. Preference will be given to those who can start sooner in alignment with unit needs.

All candidates must be located at least 50 miles from the facility. Prior experience in a Pediatric Emergency Room and familiarity with EPIC systems will enhance consideration for this role.
