Operating Room Registered Nurse

Mississippi Valley Surgery Center is seeking a full-time and a part-time Operating Room
Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical services team. This role provides comprehensive nursing care during the intraoperative phase of the surgical experience, supporting the surgeon and surgical team while maintaining patient safety. MVSC offers a competitive wage and benefits package. No weekends, holidays, or call.

Prepare the operating room and coordinate intraoperative nursing care. Serve as the patient’s advocate, verify surgical information, and participate in safety checks, positioning, and surgical counts. Maintain patient safety and infection prevention practices. Document care and collaborate with the surgical and recovery teams to ensure continuity of care.

• Active Iowa RN license.

• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• BLS certification required upon hire.

• ACLS and PALS certification required within 12 months of hire.

• Prior experience in an ambulatory surgical center (ASC) is preferred.
