We are hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair GPS-grade control and machine-control systems for construction equipment.
This is a hands‑on role working with modern construction technology systems on earthmoving and grading equipment in both shop and field environments.
What You'll Do- Install and calibrate GPS grade control systems on heavy equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
- Work with machine control systems such as Topcon, Trimble, and Smart Grade
- Test and verify system accuracy before equipment goes to job sites
- Support field service calls and customer equipment issues
- Work alongside service and technical support teams
- Experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, field technician, or similar role
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics or willingness to learn
- Background with construction or industrial equipment preferred
- Strong hands‑on problem‑solving ability
- Experience with Topcon, Trimble, Smart Grade, or machine control systems
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Mix of shop and field work
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Occasional regional travel with overnight stays
- Work with cutting‑edge construction technology (GPS machine control systems)
- Strong hands‑on technical work (not just shop repairs)
