LSI seeks a Social Worker to work within our clinical department as part of the On The Way Home (OTWH) program we serve in the Davenport/Muscatine/Clinton area and surrounding counties (Scott, Muscatine, Cedar, Jackson, and Clinton).
What You’ll DoThe programs we serve help to support client transition by empowering families, enhancing family relationships, and supporting academic engagement and success. These programs integrate three interventions:
Home/Family, School, and homework support. Receive referrals from JCS officials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Respond (face‑to‑face) within 1 hour of referral with youth/family in the home, the office, or other safe neutral place. Provide direct services through use of assessment and diagnostic skills, curriculum‑based skill teaching, crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy. Requires traveling by car to client’s homes, an office, a community setting, or other neutral setting.
Facilitate and attend family team meetings, as needed. Activities may occur during normal business hours, after hours, or on weekends. Share in on‑call rotation (with incentive) to cover crisis and referral cell phone.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work OR a Human Services related field, plus one year full‑time equivalent human service experience
