Aquatics Cashier

Overview

The City of Davenport is currently seeking dynamic individuals to fill our seasonal positions in the Aquatic Division for the Parks and Recreation Department.

Starting pay: $10.00 per hour for the first year. Returning employees receive a $0.25 per hour increase each consecutive year until reaching the maximum rate of $11.00 per hour.

Cashier / Concessions

• Collect pool admissions and swim lesson fees.
• Perform daily clean-up duties to keep immediate area surrounding cashier’s station and pool entrance.
• Keep an accurate record of daily attendance, pool fees, swim lesson registration, and pool discount booklets.
• Knowledgeable of all aquatic programs available at your designated pool.
• Familiarized with other city of Davenport pool managers and telephone numbers for the public's information referral.
• Required to participate in various in‑service training programs, facility emergency procedures, first aid, and CPR skills (Required certifications: CPR/AED – Community, Standard First Aid).
• Works in a fast paced concession stand.
• Serves mostly pre-packaged goods.

Ability to provide excellent customer service

• Must be at least 15 years of age by the time of hire.
• Must possess or become certified within one month of hire in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid Certificate.
• Must pass a background check as prescribed by the City of Davenport.
