Design Technology Teacher

Overview

Simply Education is working with a secondary school in Daventry that are looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable DT Teacher to lead and deliver lessons across a range of year groups.

• Deliver lessons mainly on product design and other DT subjects.
• Demonstrate tools including hand tools, machinery, and CAD/CAM software.
• Supervise workshop/kitchen safety during practical sessions.
• Maintain equipment by inspecting machinery and managing material stock.
• Prepare students for subject examinations like GCSEs and A-Levels.
• Support STEM initiatives through extracurricular clubs/trips.

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• QTS/PGCE qualified.
• Enthusiasm, friendliness and approachability.
• Understanding of the secondary aged DT curriculum and pastoral needs.
• Ability in delivering lessons and feedback.
• Confidence in behaviour management skills.
• Flexibility, independence and an ability to work effectively.
