Role:
Accounts Assistant
Salary: GBP 30,000 – 32,000 per annum
Location:
Near Daventry (Hybrid)
Contract:
initially a 6 month contract
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing and forward‑thinking automotive business based near Daventry. Working within a supportive finance team, the Accounts Assistant will play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations are processed accurately and efficiently, whilst supporting UK and USA finance operations. Responsibilities- Process supplier invoices and payments accurately using company finance systems.
- Respond to supplier queries via telephone and email in a professional manner.
- Complete supplier and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable inbox.
- Produce reports using finance and internal business systems.
- Liaise regularly with the USA Finance Team.
- Utilise Net Suite, Tipalti and Excel to support finance activities.
- Support month‑end processes alongside the wider finance team.
- Assist with finance administration and general office tasks as required.
- Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and in line with company procedures.
- Previous experience working as an Accounts Payable Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Finance Administrator or Accounts Assistant.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good IT skills with the willingness to learn new systems.
- Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Flexible approach and willingness to support wider finance activities.
- Comfortable working within a small, collaborative office environment.
- Accounting qualification desirable but not essential; relevant experience is equally valued.
