Supply Chain Planner - 9 Month Temporary Contract (Maternity Cover)
Location: Daventry, UK (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join our Global Planning and Logistics team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This hybrid role is based at our UK Logistics Centre in Daventry and plays a key role in ensuring smooth planning operations, cross‑functional coordination, and efficient material and inventory management.
About the RoleThe Supply Chain Planner will support site‑level activities in line with regional and business unit expectations, working closely with cross‑functional teams to resolve escalations and optimise supply chain performance. This is a hands‑on operational planning role with strategic impact.
Key Responsibilities Planning & Coordination- Manage material planning interface with the UK Logistics Centre Operations.
- Oversee aftermarket kitting and production scheduling processes.
- Coordinate supplier returns with Supply Chain Services and site teams.
- Manage customer returns within the EMEA region in collaboration with Sales.
- Coordinate creation and modification of Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASNs) to ensure seamless product receipt.
- Collaborate with Inbound Operations to resolve errors and maintain low cycle times in the closed‑loop process.
- Support internal escalation processes with operational and transportation teams.
- Drive prioritisation across operational activities (e.g., Hazmat, receiving).
- Support inventory optimisation activities and planning system improvements.
- Monitor and adjust planning system parameters to improve supply signals.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain failures.
- Analyze and interpret KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in functional process improvement teams.
- Customer Focus – Builds strong relationships and delivers customer‑centric solutions.
- Results Driven – Consistently achieves goals, even in challenging circumstances.
- Materials Planning Expertise – Proficient with planning systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Advanced Planning Command Centre, BI dashboards).
- Inventory & Scheduling – Experienced in PFEP, master supply scheduling, part change control, and KPI management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of one internship or equivalent work experience in a supply chain function.
- Technical
Skills:- Experience using materials planning systems (SAP or similar).
- Proficiency in Excel and planning analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and logistics processes.
