We are looking for a talented Transport Team Leader to join our team specialising in Logistics for our Transportation Department in Daventry, United Kingdom.
Working hours:
Monday – Friday, weekly rotating shift: 7:00am–3:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm.
- Manage a team of 16 people while strengthening cross‑functional collaboration by coordinating activities between shifts, support teams, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Coach and develop team members through mentorship, clear communication, and ongoing skills development to build a capable, engaged, and high‑performing team.
- Oversee export and inbound shipping processes, including booking equipment, documentation, and customs clearance.
- Ensure adherence to SOX, trade compliance, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail across all operational activities, ensuring accuracy and quality in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prepare and analyse KPI reports, documents, and dashboards to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Attend and contribute to key stakeholder meetings, facilitating effective communication between senior management, internal teams, and external partners.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and overall performance.
- Excellent attention to detail. Quality control is critical in logistics and compliance.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Previous transportation/logistics experience with a solid understanding of shipping processes.
- Good computer background with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office Suite.
Experience:
- Significant work experience in administrative support, logistics, or related fields.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, trade regulations) and stakeholder management.
- Additional training or certifications in business administration or logistics are preferred.
