Night Shift Production Supervisor
Daventry
Monday – Thursday 5pm – 5am
Salary circa £48k - £53k DOE + shift allowance
As the production supervisor, you will be solely responsible for leading manufacturing teams to ensure production plans are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role focuses on driving operational excellence through process improvement, downtime reduction, and productivity optimisation, while fostering a strong culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and motivate manufacturing teams to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions where required.
Identify skills gaps and training needs to support team development and succession planning.
Manage first-line employee relations matters in line with company policies.
Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture.
Lead and support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives across production areas.
Coordinate stocking, kitting, and material flow activities to support efficient operations.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth production scheduling and successful new product introductions.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of operational systems, documentation, and procedures.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in hands-on production supervision within a manufacturing environment, preferably fabrication.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Experience working in environments involving fabrication processes such as welding, laser cutting, CNC machining, and presswork (desirable).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to work methodically, prioritise effectively, and operate independently when required
