Manufacturing Operator - Engine Test

Position Overview

We are looking for a talented DOT Manufacturing Operator to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Test department at Cummins in Daventry, UK. This role is a temporary contract up to 24 months with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.

37.5 hours per week

• Morning shift:
  Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
• Afternoon shift:
  Monday to Thursday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm;
  Friday, 3:00pm – 10:30pm

The job involves preparation of production engines for test ranging from 38 to 78 ltr. Prepare engines ready for trim when test is complete.

• Ensure quality standards meet the requirements of the business
• Follow stage process documentation
• Report on supervision of any problems within the work stage
• Liaise with supervision on all aspects affecting the smooth running of the operation
• To be flexible within DOT as appropriate, dependent on volume and priority
• Complete all daily checks

• Previous assembly or factory experience
• Strong mechanical background
• Ability to work under their own initiative within the recognised process
• Ability to self-manage in order to achieve production targets

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent, to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
