MIG & TIG Welder Fabricator
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Salary: £16.00 - £19.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 – 17:00 (38 hours per week)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after standard hours
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (with potential extensions)
Workforce Group are currently working with a well-established engineering business based in Daventry to recruit an experienced MIG & TIG Welder Fabricator
.
The company specialises in the manufacture and fabrication of hydraulic tube assemblies, pipework, and fluid transfer solutions, supplying high-quality components into a variety of industrial sectors. Due to continued demand and workload, they are looking to add an experienced Welder Fabricator to their team.
This position is offered as a fixed-term contract directly with the company
. The initial contract will be reviewed every 3 months, and where there is continued workload and business demand, the contract will be extended.

This is not an agency temporary position. Successful candidates will be employed directly by the company on a fixed-term contract basis. Workforce Group are supporting the recruitment process only.
- MIG and TIG welding of hydraulic tube assemblies and fabricated components
- Working with mild steel and stainless steel materials
- Producing high-quality welds to customer specifications and engineering drawings
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
- Preparing materials prior to welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting
- Ensuring all work meets required quality standards
- Carrying out visual inspections of completed welds
- Working alongside a skilled fabrication team to achieve production targets
- Proven experience as a MIG & TIG Welder Fabricator
- Strong TIG welding experience is essential
- Experience working with tube, pipework, or hydraulic assemblies would be highly advantageous
- Ability to weld accurately from engineering drawings
- Good understanding of fabrication processes and workshop practices
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous welding and fabrication experience within an engineering environment
- Local candidates from Daventry and surrounding areas preferred
- Must be willing to complete a weld test as part of the recruitment process
- Competitive hourly rate of £16.00 - £19.00 per hour depending on experience
- Direct employment with the company on a fixed-term contract
- Contract reviews every 3 months with potential extensions available
- Monday to Thursday working pattern
