Production Supervisor

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting an established specialist engineering manufacturer in Huddersfield to recruit a Production Supervisor. This is a varied position combining day-to-day production leadership with practical engineering support, continuous improvement and responsibility for quality, safety and performance. You’ll be joining a close-knit manufacturing operation where you can make a genuine impact on the factory floor.

What’s on offer Salary: £35,000 Monday-to-Friday day shift with a 12:30pm finish every Friday Key responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include:
Managing production staffing and daily shop-floor activities Ensuring output, quality and delivery targets are achieved Leading, developing and motivating production employees Supporting the assembly and testing of products when required Managing the maintenance and improvement of production equipment and tooling Troubleshooting manufacturing issues and identifying root causes Supporting continuous improvement projects and future business growth Maintaining strong communication across the production team Ensuring health, safety and environmental procedures are followed Maintaining high housekeeping standards and a clean, safe workplace We’re looking for experienced Production Supervisors with the below skills & experience:
Previous experience supervising within an engineering or manufacturing environment A time-served engineering background The ability to operate lathes and milling machines would be beneficial Strong problem-solving and process-improvement skills Confident communication and people-management abilities Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement A flexible, hands-on approach, including occasional overtime when required If you’re an experienced manufacturing supervisor who enjoys remaining close to the product, the people and the day-to-day operation, we’d love to hear from you.
