Machine Operative

Machine Operative – Temp to Perm Quest Employment is currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a successful, small family-run business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and dedicated individual looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent following a successful temporary period. Hours of Work Monday – Thursday: 8:45am – 5:00pm Friday: 8:45am – 4:00pm 30-minute unpaid break

The Role As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring machinery used to produce foil wraps , while also supporting the wider warehouse and production operation when required.

Key Responsibilities Operating and monitoring machinery to produce foil wraps. Reading picking sheets and production requirements to ensure orders are produced accurately. Checking products and orders to ensure they meet the required standards. Completing general warehouse duties as required. Supporting with picking and preparing orders. Keeping the machinery, work areas and wider site clean and organised. Following health & safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Carrying out general cleaning duties and ensuring the site remains tidy. Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational requirements. FLT experience would be advantageous but is not essential . About You We are looking for someone who is:
Reliable and committed to their working schedule. Organised and proactive in their approach. Able to work independently as well as part of a small team. Comfortable reading picking sheets and following production requirements. Safety-conscious and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organised workplace. Flexible and willing to support with general warehouse duties when required. Looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent.

Previous machine operating or warehouse experience would be beneficial, but the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are key.
