MIG Production Welder

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire (NN11)

Pay: £18.50/hr (~£43,200/year basic) + premium overtime (1.5x / 2.0x)

Hours: 45 hrs/week (Monday – Friday)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (Direct Employer — No Agencies)

Daventry Metal Products is hiring a skilled Production MIG Welder to join our team on a permanent, direct contract from Day 1. We are an established metal fabrication specialist investing directly in our permanent shop floor team—no recruitment agencies or temp-to-perm delays.

• Direct Employment: Permanent contract from Day 1.

• High-quality manual MIG welding on sheet metal, structural steel, and custom fabrications.
• Reading and working from 2D engineering drawings and weld symbols independently.
• Assembly setup: tacking, clamping, aligning, and edge bevelling on fixture tables.
• Operating workshop tools (saws, drills, angle grinders) and maintaining 5S standards.

• 2+ years of hands-on MIG welding experience in a fabrication environment.
• Confident reading engineering drawings independently.
• Able to pass an on-site 30-minute practical bench weld test.
• Valid right to work in the UK.
