Fraser Edwards are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter Multi-Skilled Operative to support a leading Social Housing contractor on a 12‑week temporary assignment, assisting with workload and WIP reduction across the Daventry area.

This position sits within the Responsive Repairs & Maintenance team, delivering day‑to‑day property maintenance across social housing homes in Daventry and the surrounding locations. Regular travel across the patch is essential.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. As this is a temporary role, candidates will be required to provide their own van.

• Completing carpentry and basic plumbing repairs within occupied social housing properties
• Delivering responsive maintenance works to agreed specifications and turnaround times
• Identifying when additional trade support is required and notifying the Supervisor
• Working collaboratively with other operatives to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
• Ordering and managing materials in a planned and cost‑effective manner
• Accurately recording job details, progress and materials using PDA systems
• Providing a professional and courteous service to tenants and client representatives
• Ensuring full compliance with safeguarding, health & safety and road risk policies
• Maintaining a strong focus on productivity, quality and first‑time fix

• NVQ / City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry or proven experience within the trade
• Strong multi-skilled background, including basic plumbing
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 5 points)
• No driving bans within the last 5 years
• Ability to pass a basic DBS check

• Previous experience working within social housing
