Job SummaryThe Director – Sales Enablement leads cross‑functional Sales Enablement and Go‑To‑Market engagements that drive profitable growth. This role builds, coaches and develops a regional team of four Sales Enablement Managers, a National Supplier Programming and Communications Manager and an Enablement Analytics Manager. Working with Merchandising, Segment Marketing, Marcom, Business Intelligence, Sales, eCommerce and other functions, the Director manages budget, calendar and supplier‑funded programs to convert supplier programming into customer growth.
Responsibilities- Drive business unit initiatives and align cross‑functional input with Merchandising, Business Intelligence, Sales, Customers, Supplier community and Learning and Development.
- Execute Joint Business Plans, delivering best‑in‑class customer experience from conception through execution.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional leadership to define scope, budget and timelines.
- Leverage insights from MSC Sales channels to gain intelligence on customer needs.
- Align performance metrics and reports with Business Intelligence, Customer Analytics, Finance and Marketing Automation & Operations teams.
- Analyze program outcomes, provide insights and recommend enhancements with Category Strategy, Merchandising, Sales, Marketing and Business Intelligence teams.
- Promote MSC culture and drive departmental unity.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations or equivalent area of study;
Master’s Degree preferred. - Minimum 10 years of relevant experience and experience driving cross‑functional initiatives.
- Direct report and team management experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Excel (Intermediate level or above).
- Strong execution focus, continuous improvement mindset and problem‑solving skills.
- Analytical capability to identify opportunities and assess performance.
- Effective cross‑functional collaboration and internal negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication; presentation experience.
- Ability to build sustainable trust relationships through open communication.
- Category Management, Sales, Channel Management or Marketing experience.
- Experience with AS400, Salesforce and SharePoint.
- Experience with Tableau, Data‑team metrics and internal reporting platforms.
- A valid driver’s license may be required.
- Up to 20% travel.
- Access to ITAR and/or CUI information may be required.
Starting salary range $127,750 – $200,750 based on experience. Actual compensation is based on relevant experience, education and peer pay equity.
