Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN (Transplant Specialty) – Florida

Start Date: January 20, 2026
Location: Davie, Florida
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 1100–2330 shift with liver transplant call; includes one on-call shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month; 36 guaranteed hours weekly

Highlights:

• Join a 230-bed short-term acute care teaching facility with 18 operating rooms and a daily census of 55–60 cases
• Work with a dedicated transplant team performing complex liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures
• Utilize EPIC charting system and advanced surgical technology including Misonix/CUSA equipment
• Opportunity to participate in clinical education and mentorship at a teaching hospital
• Free parking and comprehensive 40-hour orientation program provided
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and expand clinical exposure

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Florida or compact state (pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of direct operating room experience with transplant procedures required
• Extensive liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience – must include implantation experience, not just organ procurement
• Demonstrated proficiency with Misonix/CUSA surgical technology
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of submission; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
• Experience with laparoscopic procedures, general OR, and transplant-related case types including Whipple, colon resection, and complex abdominal surgeries
• Must be nicotine-free – negative 10-panel drug screen plus cotinine test required within 12 months of start date
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• Successful completion of facility EKG and pharmacology assessments during orientation (two attempts maximum)
