Job Summary
Under general direction of the Marketing Strategic Communications manager, this position is responsible for drafting, editing and designing a variety of Human Services marketing content, such as website content, digital/print marketing materials, conference promotion, social media posts, email, videos and other marketing communications. Working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, this position produces content marketing that provides value, builds connection and credibility, and ensures brand and style consistency, logic, organization and accuracy in all work produced.
This position works both autonomously and collaboratively with marketing colleagues and program specialists to develop innovative, strategic and appropriately targeted content and marketing materials designed to generate inquiries, acquire enrollments, inform audiences, position our brand as a leader in the human services field and fulfill contract requirements. Contributes to day-to-day management of the Human Services website, including content updates and publishing of new content using established templates.
Designs marketing materials (including fliers, factsheets, posters, infographics, video/presentation slides and other graphics) using branded templates in Canva and other design applications, as assigned, and ensures ADA-accessibilities of these materials. Assists in the production of short-form Human Services videos, including conference/program presenter profiles, student success stories and program promotional videos.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Experience writing engaging and informative copy that reflects marketing goals and the needs and interests of target audiences and stakeholders.
- Extensive experience working in a high-volume communications/publications environment, meeting critical deadlines and coordinating multiple assignments at various stages of development.
- Experience working in a creative capacity with the ability to concept and produce effective graphics, fliers, publications and other marketing materials.
- Experience working effectively both independently and as part of a team with a high level of accuracy, collaboration and follow-through.
- Oral and written communication skills to interact with coworkers and clients in an efficient, productive and collaborative manner.
- Extensive skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite of applications.
- Advanced knowledge of grammar, punctuation and AP Style.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in higher education or human services.
- Experience with web design using a CMS such as Drupal.
- Experience using Salesforce and/or Marketing Cloud.

UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) is the academic division of the
university dedicated to workforce and career development. CPE helps professional working
adults upskill, reskill and advance their careers. CPE partners with campus schools,
colleges and faculty to create global access to the distinctive knowledge and resources of
