join golden 1 credit union as a member service specialist ii. Provide members with courteous, accurate service and process transactions within assigned limits.
responsibilities- process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments and general ledger entries while maintaining a cash drawer.
- provide golden 1 services including cashier’s checks, money orders, savings bonds, wire transfers, debit card issuance and subshares.
- assess member needs during transactions and identify opportunities to enroll members in g1 product or service offerings.
- report fraudulent activity to management and the financial investigations department.
- assist with atm and teller cash dispenser units operations and open and close responsibilities for mss iii and above as needed.
- activate alarm, verify signature cards in ecm and check acceptance approval within assigned limits.
- maintain confidentiality of all member and credit union information and current knowledge of all g1 products and services.
- open deposit and specialty accounts (e.g., roth ira) and provide meaningful financial solutions.
- engage in consultative dialogue with members to identify current and future financial needs and document in enact system.
- enroll members in various channels (online, mobile, etc.) and refer lending needs to mss iii or business partner.
- high school or ged required.
- minimum 1+ year of prior experience in a cash handling service–oriented role and 6+ months as a member service specialist i, teller role at golden 1 or another financial institution preferred.
- excellent oral and written communication skills; advanced knowledge of g1 products, cash handling and customer service.
- basic knowledge of microsoft office, efunds, bridger, enact, ecm and other g1 banking systems.
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for prolonged periods and move about the branch.
- proficiency in adding profiles and updating tasks and notes in enact and maestro.
- prolonged standing throughout the workday; teller stool provided.
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds and frequently move about the branch.
- corrected hearing and vision within normal range; telephone device or visual aid provided if needed.
- manual dexterity to operate computer terminal and other standard office equipment.
