Position DescriptionThe Cal Teach/MAST (Mathematics and Science Teaching) Program at the University of California, Davis, anticipates openings for a part-time (less than 50%) Lecturer during the academic year contingent upon the instructional needs of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior experience with university level teaching or significant experience in a teacher leadership role as a coach or professional development instructor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science or Ph.D. in a STEM disciplinary field.
- Evidence of teaching excellence.
- A developing record of scholarly or professional achievement.
Lecturers are selected to fill specialized positions which require their professional as well as their academic expertise to meet the teaching needs occasioned by sabbatical leaves and/or leaves of absence of regular faculty or general instructional needs of the unit. Therefore, in any given year, open positions and requirements for individuals to fill them will vary. These positions are covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
