Teaching Assistant

Overview

Axcis Education is partnering with a special school in Dawlish to recruit a passionate, proactive SEN primary teaching assistant for a Year 2 class, starting September.

The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:45 – 3:45. Daily rate £92 – £95.

  Year 2 class – 8 pupils, most pre‑verbal or non‑verbal
• Support team: 1 teacher and 3 established TAs
• Focus: support a new pupil joining the class
• Class environment: lively, noisy – requires confidence, calm under pressure, proactive from day one

• Proactive and hands‑on in the classroom

• Experienced or keen to support pupils with complex communication needs
• Strong team player able to build positive relationships with staff and pupils
