Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity for a HLTA to join a highly regarded SEND school in Dawlish, Devon to start in September. The role will involve working throughout KS1 and KS2, covering classes for part of the day whilst a class teacher is working elsewhere.

The majority of the post will be focused on small interventions, covering PPA time and general TA work. The school offers excellent long‑term progression opportunities.

• Work with groups of children in activities set by the teacher.
• Help with resources such as printing, photocopying and exhibiting.
• Eliminate resources after class.
• Work in the classroom assisting the teacher.
• Support SEND pupils with ASC, complex needs and communication difficulties.
• Provide cover for classes for part of the day whilst a class teacher is working elsewhere.

• Qualified HLTA or equivalent.
• Proactive, lively and able to form positive bonds with pupils.
• Ready to work with children across KS1‑KS2.
• Must provide an up‑to‑date DBS or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf.
• Must comply with DfE guidelines and other mandatory checks.

This position is temporary unless stated otherwise.

Salary / Pay rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
