SEN Primary Teaching Assistant

About the Role

Axcis Education is partnering with a special school in Dawlish to recruit a passionate and proactive SEN primary teaching assistant to support a Year 2 class from September. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:45–3:45. Weekly pay is £92–95 per day. The setting is a Year 2 class of eight pupils, most of whom are pre‑verbal or non‑verbal, supported by one teacher and three established teaching assistants.

This position is specifically to support a new pupil joining the class in a lively and noisy classroom.

• Proactive and hands‑on within the classroom

• Experience or keen to support pupils with complex communication needs
• A strong team player capable of building positive relationships with staff and pupils
• Committed to providing high‑quality, inclusive education for children with SEND

You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face‑to‑face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.
