Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Position Overview

Marine Project Engineer – Reactive Works team based in Dawlish.

• Support the delivery and management of reactive civil and marine engineering projects.
• Coordinate project information between office and site teams.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Assist in resolving technical and design issues during project delivery.
• Produce sketches, drawings and engineering calculations where required.
• Support planning, sequencing and procurement activities.
• Attend site to carry out surveys, inspections and progress reviews.
• Assist with setting out, quality checks and verification of completed works.
• Support preparation of project documentation, RAMS and progress reports.
• Monitor project costs, resource usage and project risks.
• Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance.

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or marine construction.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Commercial awareness and problem‑solving ability.
• Proactive and team‑focused approach.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Desirable: experience working on marine or coastal engineering projects.
• Desirable: knowledge of reactive or maintenance‑based project delivery.
• Desirable: working towards ICE Chartership or equivalent professional accreditation.
